Install Android 10 on Zenfone Max Pro M1

Recently Google has released the latest Android update Android 10 for Google Pixel devices. Along with Google Pixel, OnePlus also released an OTA update for Oneplus 7 and 7 Pro. As you know Google Pixel and OnePlus are expensive devices and not everyone can afford it. However, currently, the update is released only for Pixel and OnePlus devices, but if you are an Asus Zenfone Max Pro user, you can install the Android 10 update right now. You can try the android 10 updates on max pro M1 through Custom ROM. Officially you cannot expect Android 10 OTA for Zenfone Max Pro M1 before 6 months. So now how to Install Android 10 on Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.

What’s working on Android 10 AOSP ROM

Whenever a new Custom ROM (first time)is released for any Android Phone there are a lot of bugs and errors. We all want to know what works in this ROM and what doesn't. So here is only one word everything is works perfectly. Calling, WiFi, hotspot, VoLTE, screen brightness, sound, whatever you expect from a custom ROM. In my personal opinion, the custom ROM is at an early stage, so perhaps you may encounter a little bug, errors, and slowness.

Install AOSP Custom ROM on Zenfone Max Pro M1

  • The installation process is the same as I have shown earlier in my posts and Youtube videos.

  • First of all, make sure your device (Zenfone Max Pro M1) bootloader is unlocked.

  • Move all the files, Android 10 Zip file, decrypt file and Gapps into device external storage (SD Card or OTG drive).

  • After this Process Install the TWRP Custom Recovery on your max pro M1. If TWRP recovery is already installed, replace it with the new one because you cannot install Android 10 through the old TWRP recovery. You do not install any Android Pie-based custom ROM through special TWRP recovery.

  • Now the next Process is boot max Pro M1 into recovery mode. Best Gcam Settings.

  • Under the TWRP Recovery, first of all, tap on the wipe, Tap on Format data, Type yes and format your device. (before formatting don’t forget to take a full android backup)

  • Now Tap on the Advance wipe option, Select Dalvik/ART cache, Cache, Data and vendor. Select swipe to wipe option and clean everything.

  • Now tap on Install option and flash the decrypt zip file.

  • After this flash the android 10 zip file.

  • Now you have to follow some additional steps before flashing Gapps.

  • Go back and tap on Mount option. Uncheck the system option. The system will be mounted already Untick it & Remount system and vendor manually then flash Gapps zip.

  • Now again go to the install option and flash Gapps.

  • Finally, Tap on Reboot system option.

  • That’s it.

  • After rebooting enjoy the New Google 10 on your Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.

Final verdict

So in this way you can install the Android 10 on your Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1. Similarly, the Android 10 AOSP based ROM is available for Redmi Note 5, Redmi K20 Pro, Xiaomi MI 6/8 and Poco F1.
